NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Hey guys! Welcome to the 2020 event season. We have a few updates and changes to announce to start the year off.
First, we are very happy to announce that Tera Boster and Nathan Mathis have both accepted positions within WAR as Assistant Directors. We are very excited to be working with both of them within the organization this year! Congratulations to you both!!
We are looking for one person per camp to take on a volunteer role of “Event Logistics Staff”. This person would assist the Directors with check in – handing out gold, character sheets, etc. You would be rewarded 25GM per event that you perform this role. Anyone interested please contact Stacey at the email@example.com email address with the camp name you would be volunteering for.
Allegiances: The Allegiance Appendix has been removed from the High Magic Rulebook and put into its own document. The information has been updated, including the information required to be sent when an Allegiance is cast and for your Allegiance updates.
High Magic Rules: The High Magic Spell “Allegiance” now has a pre-requisite of 100CP before this can be cast on your Character.
Local Policy Handbook: Due to rising camp costs and information we are required to provide to our new camp in advance of the event we are instituting a $5 fee if you do NOT pre-register in advance for an event. We are just asking for an email to the firstname.lastname@example.org letting us know that you are coming. In addition, we are keeping regular event costs the same for the 2020 season, however there will be a slight increase in event costs for the 2021 season by an additional $5 per game day. All NPC ratio and new player discounts will remain the same.
Pre-Registration: Pre-Registration for the event will be due no later than the end of day on the Friday before the event. This includes your event attendance, production, character sheet requests, and any character sheet updates. Please read over the updated Pre Registration document. There is a new form on the Event Information page of our website called “Production Form”. This form should be filled out for all production being pre-registered. The form is in Excel format, so if you are unable to edit an Excel doc you will need to send in ALL the relevant information on the form for your production. This includes all the player information, type, quantity, individual gold cost, HM essence gathering ranks, grab bag tags used (type and quantity), and a full total cost of the production (gold, grab bags, GM). If this information is not included, your production will likely not be available at the start of the game.
Sunday Check Out: Check out will begin on Sunday mornings at 10am. We will begin wake up calls at 9am.
Rules Committee Changes: Our 2020 Rules Committee team is Jay Rhodes (Head), Bill Cromer, Don Weisal, and Mike Funkhouser.
Campaign Plot: Our 2020 Campaign Plot team is Dave Binder (Head), Jay Rhodes, Bill Cromer, and Mike Funkhouser.
Additional rules updates will follow soon and will be announced by the Rules Committee.
The WAR Directors – Stacey, Dave, Jay, Bill, Funky, and Don
